დღეს ჰომოფობიასა და ტრანსფობიასთან ბრძოლის საერთაშორისო დღესთან დაკავშირებით “იდენტობის” მიერ ორგანიზებული მსვლელობა, რომელიც ლგბტ ადამიანების მიმართ არსებული სტიგმისა და უარყოფითი განწყობის შეცვლისკენ იყო მიმართული, ჩაიშალა, იმის გამო, რომ მსვლელობის მონაწილეებს გზა გადაუკეტეს და შეურაცხყოფა მიაყენეს. 

მონაწილეები 13:00 საათზე ფილარმონიასთან შეიკრიბნენ.

“ჩვენმა ორგანიზაციამ წინასწარ შეატყობინა შსს-ს დღევანდელი აქციის შესახებ, უსაფრთხოების მიზნით. მართლაც, ორგანიზატორები როდესაც მივედით აქციამდე რამდენიმე წუთით ადრე, ფილარმონიასთან ორივე მხრიდან იდგნენ პატრულის მანქანები,” – უთხრა “ნეტგაზეთს” მსვლელობის ერთ-ერთმა მონაწილემ, “იდენტობის” ფსიქოლოგმა ელინა გლახაშვილმა.

მისივე თქმით, როდესაც მსვლელობა დაიწყო, მათ გზა გადაუკეტეს “მართლმადიდებელ მშობელთა კავშირისა” და მრევლის წარმომადგენლებმა:

“დაგვიხიეს პლაკატები, ფიზიკურად გაუსწორდნენ რამდენიმე მონაწილეს, ორი მათგანი დაშავდა. ამ დროს იქ პატრული აღარ იყო და ჩვენ ისევ გამოვიძახეთ. როდესაც მოვიდა პატრული, აქციის რამდენიმე მონაწილე წაიყვანეს. ჩვენ არ ვიცით, რა მიზნით წაიყვანეს მონაწილეები პოლიციაში, ამ საკითხს ახლა არკვევს ომბუდსმენის აპარატის წარმომადგენელი,” – ამბობს ელინა გლახაშვილი.

აქციის ერთ-ერთი მონაწილის, მწერალ თამთა მელაშვილის თქმით, ხუთამდე სასულიერო პირმა და ახალგაზრდების ჯგუფმა არ მისცეს მათ გადააგილების საშუალება და ფიზიკური შეურაცხყოფა მიაყენეს. სასულიერო პირებს შორის აქციის მონაწილეებმა ამოიცნეს მღვდელი დავით ისაკაძე, რომელიც არის “მართლმადიდებელ მშობელთა კავშირის” ერთ-ერთი ხელმძღვანელი.

დღევანდელი მსვლელობა ორგანიზატორებმა ასეთი მოწოდების გარშემო დაგეგმეს:

“თუ გრძნობ სოციალურ პასუხისმგებლობას და გვეთანხმები, რომ პრობლემა ჰომოსექსუალობა კი არა ჰომოფობიაა – შემოგვიერთდი! ჩვენი აქტიურობა საზოგადოებაში არსებულ ნეგატიურ სტერეოტიპებს აუცილებლად დაამსხვრევს!”

დღესვე, 15:00 საათზე, კიდევ ერთი აქციაა დაგეგმილი თბილისში: “ლგბტ საქართველოს” წევრები საქართველოში თურქეთის საელჩოსთან შეიკრიბებიან და თურქეთის პრემიერ-მინისტრს წერილობით მიმართავენ, რომ გამოძიებული იქნას თურქეთში მომხდარი ჰომოფოიური დანაშაულები.  

LGBT Activists Beaten in Tbilisi

Today the Georgian LGBT organization IDENTOBA organized the peaceful march in the central part of Tbilisi, Georgia to celebrate May 17, International Day Against Homophobia.; the aim of the march was to change the existing stigma and negative attitudes towards LGBT people. The march was obstructed with insults and physical violence.

Participants of the peaceful march gathered at 13:00 at Tbilisi Concert Hall.

“Our organization had informed the Ministry of Interior in prior, we were going to hold the march, just to ensure safety. And indeed, just some minutes before the march started, there were patrol police cars from both sides of the Concert Hall.” – says one of the participants of the march, psychologist from IDENTOBA Elina Glakhashvili.

According to her, when the march started they were obstructed by the members of “Orthodox Parents’ Union” and some orthodox church congregation members:

“The tore our posters, assaulted some of participants, two of them are injured. There were no patrol police cars there at that moment. We called them immediately. When they arrived they took away some of the participants of the march. We don’t know why they took them to police offices. The representative of the Ombudsman’s office is trying to find it out right now.” – says Elina Glakhashvili. 

Yet another participant of the march, writer Tamta Melashvili says approximately 5 priests and a group of young people did not let them  keep marching and alongside with insults, physically assaulted them. The march participants identified priest David Isakadze, formally one of the heads of Orthodox Parents’ Union.

The main message of the march as stated by the organizers was:

“If you feel the social responsibility and agree that homosexuality is not a problem, but homophobia is – join us! Our activities will definitely break the negative stereotypes existing in society!”

The organizers plan another action of protests in fromnt of the Turkish Embassy in Tbilisi, with the demands from Turkish government to investigate homophobic crimes in Turkey.
